Meet The Instructor, Founder, and Director
Welcome to East Valley String Institute, where I am passionate about providing exceptional cello instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels! My name is Melissa Silva, and I started EVSI in order to provide students a quality musical experience while having fun.
Helping my cello families achieve their musical goals is one of the best parts of my job. Students in my studio regularly hold top chair positions in their school orchestra as well as local youth symphonies, regionals, and all-state. My most recent graduating class of cello students had been with me since the beginning of their cello journeys in 4th and 5th grade. I am very honored and proud of my students’ continuous work and dedication to cello!
